August 2018 - Solicitor / Legal Executive / Licenced Conveyancer or paralegal with 2 years PQE/experience of dealing with their own case load needed to join our friendly team on the Quay in Exeter. The firm has a reputation for providing a high quality service and has developed relationships with a large number of repeat clients and independent estate agents. Interesting work covering residential, light commercial and agricultural property is available to the right candidate. Experience of preparing Wills, extracting Grants of Probate and carrying out Estate Administration would be an advantage but is not essential. August 2018 - Legal Secretary / Conveyancing Assistant needed to join our friendly property team on the Quay in Exeter.
The firm has a reputation for providing a high quality service and has developed relationships with a large number of repeat clients and independent estate agents. The right candidate will ideally have experience of working in a conveyancing team and will be familiar with the administrative requirements of Lexcel. They will be a competent audio typist who is friendly and confident on the telephone. They will support a team of 5 generally and will be required to undertake a varied and interesting workload. The Directors strive to contribute to the economic development of the community and behave ethically. We continue to improve the quality of life for our workforce, the local community and society in general.
We operate a Recycling of Shredded Paper Scheme.
We are signed up to The Cycle Scheme Ltd within the Government's Green Transport Plan and three members of staff cycle to and from work.
The Wellbeing of our Staff:
We aim to provide our staff with a safe, hygienic as far as possible, and an attractive working environment at the Quay in Exeter.
We encourage input from our staff via regular team meetings and an annual "away day".
We arrange for regular sessions with a practitioner to de-stress our staff.
Supporting Local Businesses:
We use a local I.T. consultant to service our I.T. system.
We use a local builder to assist with property maintenance.
We use a local florist for our reception floral arrangements.
We use local firms for our telephone system and for gardening.
We use Taurus, a local firm for computing.
We recycle our waste and save plastic bottle tops for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

We are committed to continue to sponsor and support our Local Community and Charities:
During 2015 we are supporting the local Devon charity Headway Devon. Headway Devon is a local charity supporting people whose lives have been turned upside down by the effects of an acquired brain injury.
We sponsored the Topsham Junior Rugby Team and provided t-shirts from September 2009 to April 2011.
We sponsored the Doddiscombsleigh Art Show at Doddiscombsleigh Primary Scool, Nr Exeter during October 2011. The show provides a platform to allow artists from the South West to exhibit and sell their work.
We sponsored a radio campaign supporting the National Adoption Week.
We support our local hospice to fund-raise by purchasing their baking on a weekly basis.
Our staff raise funds to support local hospices, hospitals and overseas projects.
One of our members of staff recently completed the Great West Run.
We held a fundraising marathon from the 5th March to 9th March 2012 in conjunction with Heart Radio for Childline, raising over £500.00. The appeal was named "Have a Heart". We invited other businesses from within our building and from the neighbouring locality of Exeter Quay to join in with our fundraising efforts.
Members of the business attended the "Race For Life" in Exeter during 2012, once again raising over £500.00.
During 2012 we have welcomed several young people to our offices to undertake work experience and graduate work experience.
