Nick Dudman - Director

Nick is one of the three Directors of the firm and qualified as a solicitor in 1985. A graduate of the University of Exeter he returned to Exeter in 1988 following three years working in his native Bristol. Since 1988 Nick has practiced exclusively in the field of Family Law with particular expertise in Divorce and Matrimonial Finance. Nick was a partner in a large respected Exeter firm before setting up his own firm in 1996, which he then subsequently merged with Rundlewalker. Since 1998 Nick has been a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel, which recognizes his expertise in his chosen field.
Nick is married with three young children and lists amongst his many interests boating, shooting, collecting antique toys and following his son’s tennis career, as well as spending what little time remains with his family when not doing any of the above.
Lisa McArthur - Director & Solicitor, Head of Criminal Defence

Lisa was brought up in Northern Ireland and has worked in the legal profession since leaving school. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2000, she has specialised in personal injury law and civil litigation as well as the criminal law.
Lisa has become a Director of the company after returning three years ago. Lisa originally joined Rundlewalker for a five-year stint doing mostly Personal Injury work, but then felt the need to move on to gain experience with other firms. She was welcomed back three years ago and retrained as a criminal lawyer. Lisa advises clients regularly in the police station and attends the Magistrates Court to represent clients in a range of hearings from plea and sentence to application hearings.
Lisa is a regular 24-hour duty solicitor for the police and does court duty, as well as undertaking personal injury work. She has considerable experience of varied and high value claims, accidents at work, public liability, industrial disease claims and road traffic cases.
In her spare time, Lisa cycles, plays netball and is a keen runner. She is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, which usually involves shopping!
Jenna Hamilton-Pursglove - Director & Head of Conveyancing

Jenna joined Rundlewalker in January 2020 as a Director and Head of Conveyancing.
Jenna brings with her a wealth of experience; having worked in property since 2005 and running a very successful team in Exeter for the last four years. Prior to this, Jenna attended University and then worked in Sheffield where she handled a busy and varied conveyancing caseload alongside studying for her CILEx qualification.
Jenna is experienced in all aspects of residential property including more complex areas such as adverse possession claims, shared ownership sales and purchases, newbuilds, plot sales, help to buy loans and equity release.
Out of the office, Jenna can often be found building Lego with her young son and is never happier than when she is surrounded by family, cheese and wine.
Susan Jury - Solicitor

Sue joined Rundlewalker as an associate solicitor in October 2002, having for the previous 15 years worked in a large firm in Plymouth. Sue qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has since specialised in family law, covering the whole spectrum of family work ranging from high level finance cases, domestic violence to international child abduction cases.
Sue very much enjoys working in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Rundlewalker and to being nearer to her home and children’s school. In more recent years Sue has specialised largely in all areas involving children, mostly representing parents and grandparents in care cases and in difficult contact and residence cases.
She is an accredited member of the SRA Children Law Scheme and a Resolution Accredited Specialist in private law children matters and advocacy. When not running around after her 3 young children she enjoys running, walking and yoga.
Roger Henderson - Solicitor, Head of Personal Injury & Data Protection Manager

Roger joined Rundlewalker as the Head of Personal Injury in February 2019. He previously managed a large team of personal injury lawyers at a national Legal 500 solicitors firm in Plymouth. Roger has been conducting personal injury claims for over 20 years with many of those years spent specialising in fatal road traffic claims and inquests. He has assisted countless bereaved families at inquests and conducted serious injury claims.
In addition, Roger has previously been the South West co-ordinator for the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) and also Chief Editor of its newsletter.
Roger’s interest in road traffic collisions and claims has led to a strong passion for improving road safety and better education, particularly for young drivers. He has worked with many road safety stakeholders over the years, including Learn 2 Live and was a Trustee of The Honest Truth charity for many years.
Roger is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL); he is also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and a fellow of the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers (AIRSO). He is also the Data Protection Officer for the firm.
Away from the office, Roger enjoys time with his family, keeping fit, playing golf and kayaking.
Galina Labworth - Solicitor

Galina has specialised in criminal law since she qualified as a Solicitor in 1997. She worked in a busy East London practice, where she supervised a team of solicitors, until moving to Devon in 2006. Prior to qualification, she worked at the Court of Appeal, Criminal Division. She has considerable experience of varied and high-level cases. She has dealt with very serious matters including Murder, Rape and large Drug Conspiracies, together with other more general criminal cases.
She has been advising clients in the police station for over 20 years and attends the Magistrates Court on a regular basis to represent clients in a range of hearings from plea and sentence to conducting trials. She is a Duty Solicitor on both the Court and Police Station schemes. She has particular expertise in working with vulnerable people and has a reputation for going the extra mile for her clients and has consistently been rated in the top three "Best Criminal Defence Solicitors" in Exeter, see the full story here.
In her spare time, Galina has an interest in amateur dramatics, making mosaics and most of all, enjoying family time with her three children - which ideally involves a stroll on the Moors ending with a large glass of wine by the fire in a local pub.
Rachel Smith - Solicitor Advocate

Having graduated from Plymouth University in 2009, Rachel has specialised in Criminal Defence work throughout her career, having spent 7 years at a busy North London firm where she completed all aspects of her training, before relocating back to Devon.
She has been representing clients at the Police Station for a number of years, with cases ranging from murder to speeding and everything in between. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2015 and quickly went on to obtain her Duty Solicitor status.
Rachel has obtained her Higher Rights of Audience, which means she is able to represent her clients in the Crown Court. She also regularly appears at the Magistrates and Youth Courts for all types of hearings and she prides herself on fighting tirelessly for every client to ensure the best possible outcome can be achieved.
Away from the office, Rachel can normally be found travelling the country watching Chelsea play football, or enjoying a glass of wine.
Kathy Hayes - Accounts Manager

Before setting up her own business Kathy spent 28 years in the Banking Sector. During this time she undertook all aspects of banking and she later headed up a team dealing with Resource Management.
She qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2000 and set up her own accounting and payroll service. Since that time she has built up a varied client base assisting many local businesses.
She was approached by Rundlewalker in 2001 to join their offices on a self-employed basis to manage their finance department.
Kathy is married with a daughter who has recently graduated from Coventry University. Kathy enjoys house renovation, interior design and spending time with her family.
Hannah Somers - Practice Manager

Hannah is the firm’s Practice Manager and has responsibility for the management of people be they clients, staff and suppliers – as well as office facilities and equipment. This includes managing our team of legal assistants and providing support and administrative services across the firm. It is also Hannah’s responsibility to ensure that the firm maintains its Lexcel Accreditation.
In addition to her role of Practice Manager, Hannah also supports Susan Jury in the Family Department covering a whole spectrum of Family Law work ranging from domestic violence and care proceedings, and assists with difficult contact and residence cases.
In her spare time Hannah enjoys spending time with her young daughter and is a keen runner. Hannah is a qualified Run Leader at her local running club in Exeter and takes part in various running events and races.
Louise Webber - Property Executive

Louise is a Property Executive specialising in all types of residential property transactions, including sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties, registered and unregistered land, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.
Louise’s legal career began in 2002 as a Conveyancing Assistant and shortly thereafter she qualified as a Paralegal in Conveyancing, her preferred area of law. Louise developed her role during 2016, working and developing her own caseload.
With 18 years’ experience in conveyancing, Louise prides herself on being friendly, approachable and efficient in providing updates to all parties and in providing advice and guidance to ensure your transaction proceeds as hassle-free as possible. Louise understands that moving home can be the most exciting of times or equally when transferring property following a divorce, can often be a stressful time and therefore getting to know her clients' individual requirements is paramount to the service she provides.
In her spare time Louise enjoys spending time with her husband and being a taxi service to her sport enthusiast children!
Gemma Lawson - Property Executive

Gemma is a Property Executive in our Conveyancing Department. Gemma specialises in all types of residential property transactions, including Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, Help to Buy ISAs and Transfers of Equity.
Gemma’s legal career began in 2001 when she joined a local Law Firm as an Office Junior. Her interest in property quickly saw her move into the Residential Department and progress to Legal Secretary. After gaining valuable experience from working alongside a senior member of the Team, Gemma then proceeded to qualify as a Paralegal in 2009 through the University of the West of England and commenced the running of her own case load.
Gemma appreciates the stressful nature of a conveyancing transaction and prides herself in being efficient and supportive to both clients and other parties involved in the transaction in order to make the process as stress-free and comprehensible as possible. Gemma is always happy to meet with clients in person and talk through any queries face to face, via the telephone or by e-mail.
Having worked in Exeter for the last 12 years Gemma has good relations with local Estate Agents and Mortgage Brokers whom assist in the smooth running of a transaction.
Outside of work Gemma enjoys being a part of her local running club and spending time with her young family.
Georgina Case - Legal Assistant

Georgina joined Rundlewalker in 2016 and she has since completed her first Legal Apprenticeship Scheme, obtaining a Level 3 Diploma in Legal Administration. She has completed work in the criminal and conveyancing departments and other general duties around the office. Since joining Rundlewalker Georgina has expressed an interest in criminal law and starts her paralegal course in January 2019 in the hope of progressing towards becoming a criminal solicitor.
Georgina provides support to the Criminal Department and her duties include booking legal visits, Legal Aid queries, new client enquiries, liaising with the Courts, counsel and experts, billing and general case preparation on Police Station, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court cases. Georgina can be contacted for updates on matters and to take messages for the department. Georgina is also training for her Police Station Accreditation.
Hannah Williams - Conveyancing Assistant

Hannah joined the conveyancing team in 2018 following nine years working for an Exeter Estate Agency firm. During that time, she developed a keen interest in the legal aspects of conveyancing and therefore decided to make a career change, bringing her considerable experience and high standards of customer service to our team.
Hannah provides support in the Conveyancing Department and is currently undertaking her Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice. Her goal is to become a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer within the next few years.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Katie Jeffery - Legal Assistant & Family Secretary

Katie joined Rundlewalker in 2017 as an apprentice. She is currently undertaking the Level 3 Paralegal Diploma. Katie covers the reception, and alongside this she supports Sue Jury and Hannah Somers in the Family Law Team as Family Secretary. Katie hopes to progress further in to the Legal Profession.
In her free time Katie enjoys dancing, which she has been doing since the age of three. Katie also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and taking her dog on long walks.
Monika Biliute-Buckland - Conveyancing Assistant

Monika joined the Conveyancing Team in Autumn 2018. She comes originally from Lithuania where she studied and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She has made Exeter her home for the last 14 years and recently decided to change her career path and pursue Law. She hopes her career at Rundlewalker will continue to develop further.
Monika provides support to the Conveyancing Department alongside administration duties where she assists with drafting contracts and transfers, conducting Stamp Duty returns, issuing registrations and searches as well as communicating with clients, solicitors and estate agents.
She has a young daughter and loves spending time together, enjoying fun days out and seeing friends.

Chevy Bowden - Legal Apprentice

Chevy joined Rundlewalker in 2019 as a Legal Apprentice following his education at Templar 6th Form, Teign School, where he studied Business, ICT and Applied Science.
Chevy currently undertakes Reception and other office duties as well as supporting Roger Henderson in the Personal Injury Department. Chevy has shown a strong interest in the legal profession and hopes to continue to learn and progress.
In his free time, Chevy enjoys playing football and watching Exeter City play. He also has a passion for music and enjoys going to music festivals.
Denise Allen - Administration

Denise has worked at Rundlewalker for 12 years and provides valuable administration support and clerical cover. Previously Denise was an auxiliary nurse and mental health practitioner. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading and dining out and spending quality time with her family.
