Nick Dudman - Director

Nick is one of the four Directors of the firm and qualified as a solicitor in 1985. A graduate of the University of Exeter he returned to Exeter in 1988 following three years working in his native Bristol. Since 1988 Nick has practiced exclusively in the field of Family Law with particular expertise in Divorce and Matrimonial Finance. Nick was a partner in a large respected Exeter firm before setting up his own firm in 1996, which he then subsequently merged with Rundlewalker. Since 1998 Nick has been a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel, which recognizes his expertise in his chosen field.
Nick is married with three children. He enjoys getting his teeth into projects and most recently, together with his wife Juliette, has designed and overseen the refurbishment of an old railway station to create an unusual family home. When not pottering in the garden Nick enjoys boating and socialising, often combining the two with friends in Cornwall. Nick also recently acquired a classic sports car in a nod to his lost youth and to start to reduce his long bucket list!

Lisa McArthur - Director & Solicitor, Head of Criminal Defence

Lisa was brought up in Northern Ireland and has worked in the legal profession since leaving school. Since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2000, she has specialised in Personal Injury Law and Civil Litigation as well as the Criminal Law.
Lisa returned to Rundlewalker in 2015 after leaving to gain experience at other firms for a period of 7 years. After specializing in Personal Injury Law for 15 years she decided to retrain as a Criminal Lawyer. She now is Head of the Criminal Department and deals with a large caseload of criminal work including matters at the Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court. She was promoted to a Director of the firm in October 2018.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, cycling, and walking her dog. She is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, which usually involves shopping!
Susan Jury - Solicitor

Sue joined Rundlewalker as an associate solicitor in October 2002, having for the previous 15 years worked in a large firm in Plymouth. Sue qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and has since specialised in family law, covering the whole spectrum of family work ranging from high level finance cases, domestic violence to international child abduction cases.
In more recent years Sue has specialised largely in all areas involving children, mostly representing parents and grandparents in care cases and in difficult contact and residence cases.
She is an accredited member of the SRA Children Law Scheme and a Resolution Accredited Specialist in private law children matters and advocacy. Sue very much enjoys working in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Rundlewalker. When not working, Sue loves to spend time with her family, and she enjoys running, walking and yoga.

Roger joined Rundlewalker as the Head of Personal Injury in February 2019. He previously managed a large team of personal injury lawyers at a national Legal 500 solicitors firm in Plymouth. Roger has been conducting personal injury claims for over 20 years with many of those years spent specialising in fatal road traffic claims and inquests. He has assisted countless bereaved families at inquests and conducted serious injury claims.
In addition, Roger has previously been the South West co-ordinator for the Motor Accident Solicitors Society (MASS) and also Chief Editor of its newsletter.
Roger’s interest in road traffic collisions and claims has led to a strong passion for improving road safety and better education, particularly for young drivers. He has worked with many road safety stakeholders over the years, including Learn 2 Live and was a Trustee of The Honest Truth charity for many years.
Roger is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL); he is also a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and a fellow of the Association of Industrial Road Safety Officers (AIRSO). He is also the Data Protection Officer for the firm.
Away from the office, Roger enjoys time with his family, keeping fit, playing golf and kayaking.
Rachel Smith - Director & Solicitor Advocate

Having graduated from Plymouth University in 2009, Rachel has specialised in Criminal Defence work throughout her career, having spent 7 years at a busy North London firm where she completed all aspects of her training, before relocating back to Devon.
She has been representing clients at the Police Station for a number of years, with cases ranging from murder to speeding and everything in between. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 2015 and quickly went on to obtain her Duty Solicitor status.
Rachel has obtained her Higher Rights of Audience, which means she is able to represent her clients in the Crown Court. She also regularly appears at the Magistrates and Youth Courts for all types of hearings and she prides herself on fighting tirelessly for every client to ensure the best possible outcome can be achieved.
Away from the office, Rachel can normally be found travelling the country watching Chelsea play football, or enjoying a glass of wine.
Peter Watkin - Head of Conveyancing FCILEx

Peter is a Chartered Legal Executive and CILEx Conveyancing Practitioner and heads up our Conveyancing Team. Since qualifying in 1981, Peter has enjoyed a varied career working for both small and large legal practices and local authorities. He originally trained as a litigator but has been exclusively engaged in conveyancing work for more than 20 years in the counties of Somerset, Devon and Dorset as well as the cities of Exeter and Bristol.
Peter is experienced in all types of residential conveyancing work including equity release, deeds of variation, new builds, grant and release of easements and unusual and complicated transactions.
Peter has a particular interest in leasehold developments having acted for both Landlord and Tenant in Leasehold Extensions, for developers wanting to set up a development scheme, for management companies and of course for buyers and sellers of leasehold properties.

Kathy Hayes - Head of Finance & Administration

Kathy spent 28 years in the Banking Sector and qualified as an Accounting Technician in 2000. She then set up her own accounting and payroll service and Rundlewalker became one of her clients in 2001.
Kathy is now semi retired and works solely for Rundlewalker as Head of Finance and Administration.
Kathy is married with a daughter and 2 granddaughters and enjoys spending time with her family.
Hannah Somers - Practice Manager

Hannah is the firm’s Practice Manager and has responsibility for the management of people be they clients, staff and suppliers – as well as office facilities and equipment. This includes managing our team of legal assistants and providing support and administrative services across the firm. It is also Hannah’s responsibility to ensure that the firm maintains its Lexcel Accreditation.
In addition to her role of Practice Manager, Hannah also supports Susan Jury in the Family Department covering a whole spectrum of Family Law work ranging from domestic violence and care proceedings, and assists with difficult contact and residence cases.
Hannah lives locally with her husband and young daughter. In her spare time Hannah is a keen runner and fitness enthusiast.
Louise Webber - Property Executive

Louise is a Property Executive specialising in all types of residential property transactions, including sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties, registered and unregistered land, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.
Louise’s legal career began in 2002 as a Conveyancing Assistant and shortly thereafter she qualified as a Paralegal in Conveyancing, her preferred area of law. Louise developed her role during 2016, working and developing her own caseload.
With 18 years’ experience in conveyancing, Louise prides herself on being friendly, approachable and efficient in providing updates to all parties and in providing advice and guidance to ensure your transaction proceeds as hassle-free as possible. Louise understands that moving home can be the most exciting of times or equally when transferring property following a divorce, can often be a stressful time and therefore getting to know her clients' individual requirements is paramount to the service she provides.
In her spare time Louise enjoys spending time with her husband and being a taxi service to her sport enthusiast children!
Gemma Lawson - Property Executive

Gemma is a Property Executive in our Conveyancing Department. Gemma specialises in all types of residential property transactions, including Freehold and Leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, Help to Buy ISAs and Transfers of Equity.
Gemma’s legal career began in 2001 when she joined a local Law Firm as an Office Junior. Her interest in property quickly saw her move into the Residential Department and progress to Legal Secretary. After gaining valuable experience from working alongside a senior member of the Team, Gemma then proceeded to qualify as a Paralegal in 2009 through the University of the West of England and commenced the running of her own case load.
Gemma appreciates the stressful nature of a conveyancing transaction and prides herself in being efficient and supportive to both clients and other parties involved in the transaction in order to make the process as stress-free and comprehensible as possible. Gemma is always happy to meet with clients in person and talk through any queries face to face, via the telephone or by e-mail.
Having worked in Exeter for the last 12 years Gemma has good relations with local Estate Agents and Mortgage Brokers whom assist in the smooth running of a transaction.
Outside of work Gemma enjoys being a part of her local running club and spending time with her young family.
Georgina Case - Accredited Legal Representative ACILEx

Georgina joined Rundlewalker in 2016. Since joining, she has completed a Level 3 Diploma in Legal Administration and is fully qualified for the Police Station Representatives Accreditation Scheme from Cardiff University. She has also completed and qualified with distinction, her Paralegal Qualification through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with the ambition to becoming a Fellow in the coming years.
Georgina can represent anyone in the Police Station for any number of offences and can be contacted 24/7 for this service.
Georgina continues to provide support to the Criminal Department and her duties include Legal Aid queries, client enquiries, liaising with the Courts, Counsel and experts, billing and general case preparation on Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court cases. Georgina can be contacted for queries on all matters in the Criminal Department.
Jodie Everard - Property Executive ACILEx

Jodie is a Property Executive in our Conveyancing Department. Jodie specialises in all types of residential property transactions, including sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages and transfers of equity. Jodie also has experience in dealing with schemes such as Help to Buy.
Jodie has worked in Conveyancing since leaving college and began her career as a Legal Technician at a small independent Law Firm in the South West in 2013. Jodie is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is currently studying Criminal Law and is undertaking her Legal Research Skills coursework as the final modules of the Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice with a view to achieving Fellowship status.
Outside of the office Jodie enjoys cooking, socialising with friends and travelling to new places.
Hannah Williams - Conveyancing Assistant

Hannah joined the Conveyancing Team in 2018 following nine years working for an Exeter Estate Agency firm. During that time, she developed a keen interest in the legal aspects of conveyancing and therefore decided to make a career change, bringing her considerable experience and high standards of customer service to our team.
Hannah provides support in the Conveyancing Department and has now attained her Level 4 Diploma in Conveyancing Law and Practice. She will shortly be commencing the Level 6 Diploma as a Trainee Licensed Conveyancer and hopes to become a fully qualified Licensed Conveyancer and Property Lawyer within the next few years.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Taniah Roberts - Legal Cashier

Katie Jeffery - Family Paralegal

Katie joined Rundlewalker in 2017 as an apprentice. She has now completed the CILEx Level 3 Paralegal Diploma. Katie covers the reception, and alongside this she supports Sue Jury and Hannah Somers in the Family Law Team as Family Secretary. Katie hopes to progress further in to the Legal Profession.
In her free time Katie enjoys dancing, which she has been doing since the age of three. Katie also enjoys spending time with her friends and family and taking her dog on long walks.
Monika Biliute-Buckland - Conveyancing Assistant ACILEx

Monika joined the Conveyancing Team in Autumn 2018. She comes originally from Lithuania where she studied and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She has made Exeter her home for the last 14 years and decided to change her career path and pursue Law. She hopes her career at Rundlewalker will continue to develop further. Monika has recently passed her fourth and fifth Level 3 CILEx exams and is continuing with her studies to attain Level 6. Monika is now an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Monika provides support to the Conveyancing Department alongside administration duties where she assists with drafting contracts and transfers, conducting Stamp Duty returns, issuing registrations and searches as well as communicating with clients, solicitors and estate agents.
She has a young daughter and loves spending time together, enjoying fun days out and seeing friends.

Katie Minifie - Legal Secretary

Katie joined Rundlewalker in February 2021 as Legal Secretary to Nick Dudman. In addition to this role, she provides further support alongside Hannah Somers, by assisting Susan Jury in the Childcare Department. Katie is a very experienced administrator who has an extensive clerical background along with multiple language skills in French, German and Greek! Katie has worked across a variety of sectors, with Family Law being her preferred practice area.
Katie lives in the local area with her young family who share her passion for travelling and adventure, particularly skiing and snowboarding holidays. As one of her other notable hobbies, she has gained her small plane private pilot’s licence. Katie also enjoys socialising and attending rugby matches to support the Exeter Chiefs, as well as taking in music festivals when time allows.
Alfie McIintosh - Criminal Paralegal

Alfie joined Rundlewalker's Criminal Department in September 2021 in pursuit of unfolding his legal career in the South West.
He graduated with a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Business Management with Law, a Commendation in the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and has completed the Legal Practice Course with a Masters in Criminal Litigation (LLM) with Distinction.
Alfie is currently training to be a Police Station Representative and is hoping to become one of the firm's Duty Solicitor's as well as obtaining his Higher Rights of Audience in the near future.
Away from the office, Alfie is a keen triathlete and has competed in two European IRONMAN triathlons. He also enjoys the outdoors where you will often find him trail running, in the sea surfing or on rockfaces climbing.
Ella Lloyd - Legal Assistant/Apprentice
